Homework Store is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Homework Store (homeworkstore.shop).
How this started
A new top-load machine installed in a Jaipur flat that took forty minutes to fill and then stopped mid-cycle with an error. Two service visits later the answer was water pressure — an overhead tank one floor up, well below what the inlet valve needed.
The specification sheet had listed the pressure requirement in kilopascals, on page eleven. Nobody buying a washing machine reads page eleven, and nobody selling one asks the question that would have caught it in thirty seconds.
The right machine in the wrong plumbing is a bad machine every wash day.
Our commitment
Capacity explained in loads
Kilograms are dry-weight ratings measured under laboratory conditions. We say what each capacity means in Indian household terms — how many people, how many bedsheets.
Water pressure requirement, up front
In plain terms and in kPa, with what an overhead tank typically delivers, because this is the most common cause of a machine that seems faulty and is not.
Spin speed and what it costs
In RPM, with the trade-off stated: a higher spin dries faster and is harder on both the clothes and a lightweight floor.
Our story
The range is deliberately narrow — top-load machines in the sizes Indian households actually buy — because a short list we can answer questions about is more useful than a catalogue nobody has seen.
We sell appliances online and do not carry out installation ourselves. What we will do is tell you before you order whether your supply, your floor and your drain will suit the machine you are looking at.
